Mermaid Throw
Crocheted in Katia mercerized cotton I think using 2.5 mm Milward hook. The pattern called Oyster Throw was easy and crocheted quickly even though it took me 3 months working about 2 hours a day. Somehow it didn't look to me like the picture in the pattern book and I wondered if I was crocheting too tightly as I couldn't really see nay pearls. The multicolored thread from Katia is gorgeous to look at but actually quite cold too the touch and in the end I wondered if it was suitable for a throw or Afghan. I am allergic to most wool so I prefer to sue cotton crochet yarn. I called it mermaid becasue that is what the user for whom kt wasmade said when they tried it" Oh, I look like a Mermaid"
